From the time she was 5 years old, Gina Murphy-Darling’s mother told her she was a troublemaker. She always enjoyed stirring things up and getting people thinking and acting. When she visited the rainforest in Ecuador and Peru, she finally understood what her gifts were ultimately to be used for: protecting the rainforests on Mother Earth.

Now Gina has morphed into Mrs. Green and is madly, passionately in love with the planet. Her big dream? Wake every single man, woman and child on this planet up about the threat of climate change and then engage them in fun and inspiring ways to be the change they wish to see in the world.

More About Gina Murphy-Darling

From about age five, Gina’s Mom called her a trouble maker but always advised her that if she figured out how to do “it” right it would serve her well in this world. Her Mom was right. Translation? Meet the Disruptor for Good! She really likes to stir things up and get people thinking AND acting. And she loves to be a ham and make people laugh. She was clearly born with multiple sets of tear ducts & cries proudly and frequently – mostly tears of you. Things that immediately turn the faucet on are performances by Luna Bonita Applebum (their resident Brussels Griffen) and letters from nine year old girls telling Mrs. Green why they hate straws and will never use them again. For your own personal safety, it is not recommended to use straws in her presence unless you want to hear quite a bit about how Americans consume 500,000,000 million of them a day and why that’s a bad thing. Her advice if you are thinking about writing a book? Don’t! Unless you LOVE to write, have the fire in your belly, the time to tell your story and then really commit to telling it. The Queen of Green warns everyone that she stops for birds, all wildlife and to snap pictures of plastic bags growing on trees! Gina is a dreamer at heart. But she doesn’t just dream – she makes things happen. Mrs. Green is well aware of that fact that she has morphed into Mrs. Green and is madly, passionately in love with the planet. Her big dream? Wake every single man, woman and child on this planet up about the threat of climate change and then engage them in fun and inspiring ways to be the change they wish to see in the world. And then she will take a really really long nap.
